We build Two and Three Horse Angle Load Floats, starting at 12 feet in body length for the Two Horse (tare approx. 1200kg) at a cost of $17,500 inc gst., and 14 foot 6 inches for the Three Horse (tare approx 1450kg), at a cost of $20,550 inc. gst. An extension per 6" (150mm) is $340 inc. gst. As a guide a 12 foot body length will accomodate, comfortably, up to 15.2hh, a one foot extension is required for 15.2hh to 16hh, over16hh a further 6 inch extension is required. Three horse angle loads follow the same guide lines.
Internal height 7'4" Internal width 6'4" (1930mm) Fully galvanised chassis. 10mm drainage gap between the rear chassis rail and the rear floor joist to facilitate the removal of moisture from the rear of the float. Particularly useful for horses with very efficient rear drainage systems! A Frame, filled in, which extends back in one section to the front spring hanger, regardless of the length of the float, not a feature of many floats, also the drawbar 1.1 metres in length. The result is excelllent towing. 45 mm square axles fitted with 4"drops are fitted to heavy duty rocker roller springs, with two braked electric axles. 4"drops are not common but do give a lower centre of gravity, easier float access and probably easier loading. Axles, brakes etc. are Australian made which we regard as important. Brake Safe Breakaway systems are fitted to all angle load floats. Tailgate is fitted with springs or heavy duty gas struts, whichever is preferred. The tailgate is 4'7"in height and is fitted with a step and stainless steel hinges. Spring loaded over centre latches secure the tailgate these are bounded by chequerplate. Australian made, easy lift, swing up jockey wheel. Floor joists are placed approx. at 350mm centres and to that heavy duty Armour Ply which is made from Blackbutt Hardwood (rated at F27) and manufactured by Big River Timbers is teck screwed to the floor joists at 150mm centres. The primary use for Armour Ply is in the concreteing industry where is is used as formwork, and, as such, has a water proof coating to each side. Stall walls consist of 1.6mm sheeting welded to the frame, rubber is glued to these walls. Sheeting is .75mm zincanneal in continuous lengths, horizontally placed and glued to the frame, eliminating unecessary joins. We do not fill spaces by using off cuts. Rubber is glued to the entire floor and walls and four anti- slip strips are glued to the tailgate rubber. Recessed tie ups for each horse. The spare wheel is usually placed on the LHS as low as possible at the rear of the float, we prefer to place the on the front of the float from a safety perspective, but the majority of clients don't see it that way! Recessed door handles. One centrally placed roof vent. One twin fluro light. One sliding side window (tinted ) fitted with protection bars per horse, with one 1.17m sliding window at the rear of the float on the rump side facilitation cross air flow. Dividers are fully padded and removable and are 40cm deep. They are fitted with a spring loaded locking system and with removable and swinging head dividers. All dividers are fitted with head dividers aprart from the rear divider, which is broken and swinging. Chequerplate to a height of 760mm it fitted around the front of the float, it is fitted to two side steps (which are standard) over the mudguards, the rear mudguard infills and the triangular stays at the rear of the float. LED lights are standard. Automotive 2 pack white paint is standard with signwriting - scrolling and lining. Many float options are available upon request.
